About Us – Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial Park
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial Park in Lucknow is one of the most iconic landmarks of the city, reflecting history, architecture, and inspiration. Built in honor of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution and a social reformer. Located in Gomti Nagar, the park is spread across a vast expanse and is constructed entirely with red sandstone brought from Rajasthan, giving it a regal and timeless charm. It was built to honor the life and contributions of Dr. Ambedkar, who dedicated his life to the fight against social discrimination and worked tirelessly for equality and justice
The park features magnificent domes, carved pillars, and striking statues that reflect both cultural richness and historical significance. Alongside Dr. Ambedkar, the memorial also celebrates the legacy of social leaders such as Jyotirao Phule, Kanshi Ram, and Narayana Guru, highlighting their role in social transformation. The central stupa, musical fountains, and beautifully designed pathways add to its grandeur, making it both a place of remembrance and leisure. Today, the memorial park is not only a popular tourist attraction but also a symbol of pride for the city of Lucknow.
