People with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder may spend hours of their usual day cleaning, bathing, rearranging items, counting, repeating, or apparently acting as other random coercions in their thinking process.
The treatment can help those with obsessive-compulsive disorder. Therapists can work with you to guide you away from your obsession and/or coercion, and to more productive and healthy activities. You and your therapist can also explore the root causes of your coercion, and tackle the root causes of your coercion with the goal of preventing them from taking control of your life.
